Author’s work will reach a new audience at festival

The life of Robin Harbinson was so colourful and extraordinary that it was difficult to know where fact and embroidery merged. Coming from an impoverished background in Belfast to mixing with friends of royalty and members of the British establishment is the stuff of novels but rarely of biography.

However, that did happen.

What is beyond dispute is the power of his writing, in particular his autobiographical tomes. Yet he is a writer, his pen name was Robert Harbinson, who is largely unknown to modern audiences.

An adaptation of his work for the festival in his native east Belfast should help put the record straight.
