Roy Beggs MLA has appealed for members of the public who may have seen anything suspicious in the Belfast Road area of Carrickfergus on Monday, to advise the police.
“The crime gang involved in hijacking the Sprinter van in the Belfast Road area of Carrickfergus, threatened the driver with a gun and then assaulted him. The victim required hospital treatment. Clearly this is a dangerous group of criminals and I would urge the public to assist by providing any possible relevant information to assist in identifying those involved.”
