Beggs appeals for information following Lennox Avenue attack

Occupants of a house in Carrick’s Lennox Avenue were ordered out of the area during an attack by a gang of masked men on Monday evening.Shortly after 9.00pm police received a report that a large group of masked men, some armed with baseball bats, had arrived at the premises. The occupants, the PSNI added, were told to leave the area and windows on the house and a car were smashed.

Roy Beggs, Ulster Unionist MLA for East Antrim said “I totally condemn this attack on a family home and property by a criminal gang. The male attackers fled the scene in two cars, possibly a silver Renault Clio and a silver Renault Megane.  I would call on anyone who may have seen anything of note in the area to come forward and speak to the police to help them further their enquiry. This can be done via the PSNI in Larne on 101. Information can also be passed through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
