Beggs condemns Carrickfergus aggravated burglary

East Antrim Ulster Unionist Party representative Roy Beggs MLA has condemned those responsible for an aggravated burglary in the Rosebrook Grove area of Carrickfergus which resulted in in the male occupant needing hospital treatment.

Roy Beggs MLA said “I condemn those behind the aggravated burglary in Carrickfergus on Wednesday. The occupant of the house who is in his 20’s, was assaulted during the break in had cuts and bruising and I hope that he makes a speedy recovery. I am sure that it was an intimidating and terrifying ordeal for him and I would urge anyone with information to come forward to the PSNI, calling 101 and quoting reference number 485 13/03/19. The attackers are described as wearing black balaclavas at the time of the burglary with one being over average height with a local accent and wearing a black North Face jacket, by the PSNI.
