East Antrim Ulster Unionist Party Assemblyman Roy Beggs MLA has condemned those who carried out a reported assault and robbery on a 14 year old girl near Larne train station.
Mr Beggs said “To attack a 14 year old girl is shocking and appalling. It has been reported that she was struck on the head and that those who carried out the disgusting attack then had the audacity to steal her mobile phone. My thoughts are with the young girl who I am sure is traumatised. I would urge anyone who has information relating to this crime to contact the PSNI on 101 in order to help trace down those responsible.”
