Roy Beggs MLA giving blood at Stormont today
Ulster Unionist Party MLA Roy Beggs has given blood on the 15th June at Stormont as part of a blood drive by The Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service.
Mr Beggs said “I always make an effort to give blood – it is vital that we do all we can to help the Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service, and I was glad to be able to help by donating blood on World Donor Day. Some 40% of blood donations is required to help those fighting cancer and 8% for those caught up in an accident. You never know when you, your family or friends may be affected by an illness or accident and the medical treatment requires blood donation. I would urge everyone to consider blood donation.
