Beggs Welcomes Drugs Discovery in Whitehead

Ulster Unionist Party MLA, Roy Beggs, has welcomed news that a substantial amount of drugs has been taken out of circulation in his East Antrim constituency.
Mr Beggs said “I am aware that the PSNI uncovered a cannabis factory in Whitehead last week and that an arrest took place. I understand that a suspicious white powder, potentially a Class A drug, was also seized during the search. I welcome the fact that these harmful substances have been taken out of the local community.  I would urge the public to contact the confidential Crime Stoppers helpline on 0800 555 111, if they have any further information that may help the Police with their enquiries or indeed if they have suspicions of drug dealing taking place at any other location.”
