A number of residents in Coleraine have been evacuated from their homes due to an overnight security alert.
Police seized a suspicious object for examination during the operation on the Drumtarsey Road.
The route was closed in both directions following reports of the object on Thursday evening, 02 August.
Residents were allowed to return to their residences at around 5am this morning and the road has since reopened.
