Beggs secures railing upgrade at Rhanbouy, Carrickfergus

East Antrim Ulster Unionist Party representative Roy Beggs has welcomed work to repair railings and steps at Rhanbouy, Carrickfergus. This follows communication by the UUP MLA to Council, asking that the area be repaired.

Roy Beggs MLA said “I was contacted by concerned constituents to highlight the dilapidated state of disrepair of the steps and railings at Rhanbouy, Carrickfergus. My constituents use this area to access the Belfast Lough for cold water sea swimming and I contacted Council to outline health and safety concerns as a result of a lack of maintenance in this area.

I am pleased that Council have now completed the required repair work and in the process they have made the area safer for all. Thank you to the Council staff for their speedy repair work.”
