“I was shocked to learn of the extent of the fire at Abbey Upholsters and my thoughts are with everyone associated with the Company following the devastating incident at the Carrickfergus factory. My gratitude and thanks are extended to the emergency services who fought and ultimately put out the blaze in the early hours of Saturday morning.
I would hope that the company will be able to quickly find alternative premises to re-establish production and to retain the valuable local manufacturing workforce.”
