Ulster Unionist representative Roy Beggs MLA has urged residents of East Antrim to get involved in the Department of Regional Developments bicycle strategy consultation in order to have their views heard, which will shape the future of bike provision in Northern Ireland.

Roy Beggs said “ The Department are hosting a series of public meetings in order to hear your views about the Minister, Danny Kenendy MLAs, draft bicycle strategy. This is your chance to give feedback on cycling provision and infrastructure. I recently met with the head of DRD’s Cycling Unit, Andrew Grieve along with Party colleague Cllr Andrew Wilson, to look at options for extending and enhancing the cycle network in East Antrim, and I am keen to explore options of opening up our coast in addition to providing cycle networks between our schools.”

Roy Beggs added “The bicycle strategy public consultation meeting for the area is to be held in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Belfast, on 4th November 2014, between 10am and 2pm.”
