Beggs Welcomes East Antrim “Awards for All” Funding

East Antrim Ulster Unionist Party Assemblyman Roy Beggs MLA has welcomed news that 2 funding awards have been announced for the East Antrim area via the awards for all small grants programme.

Mr Roy Beggs MLA said “It is welcome news for East Antrim that 2 local applications for funding have been approved, namely ‘The Dixon Park Residents Association’ & ‘Kilwaughter Village Hall Committee’. The combined award is £16,830. The grants programme aims to fund projects helping people to get involved in their communities. It also encourages people to come together to enjoy a wide range of charitable, community, educational, environmental and health-related activities.”

The Dixon Park Residents Association will receive £6,830 to run activities and trips for all the community to enjoy, including a fun day, day trip to the Glens of Antrim and a Christmas lunch. Kilwaughter Village Hall Committee receive a grant of £10,000 which is to be used to refurbish their kitchen so more activities can take place.
