Arson attacks must end- Beggs

East Antrim Ulster Unionist MLA Roy Beggs has condemned the latest arson attack in Larne and has called on the public to pass on details of any suspicious activity to the police to help lead to the prosecution of those involved.

Roy Beggs MLA said:

“This latest arson attack has all the hallmarks of a tit-for-tat attack between feuding criminals.   Another car has been set on fire and, with the risk of an exploding petrol tank, homes have been endangered along with the lives of local residents.

“I would urge the public who may have seen anyone involved in these ongoing attacks or anything suspicious to report information to the PSNI or the confidential Crime Stoppers number 0800 555 111. The police need the eyes and ears of the local community.

“I have a meeting arranged with the PSNI and will be urging that extra resources are used to target the well known criminal  protagonists and help bring this feuding to an end before lives are lost.”
