Beggs Expresses Concern at Potential Chain Reaction Job Losses in Carrickfergus

East Antrim Ulster Unionist Party Assemblyman Roy Beggs MLA has expressed his concern at breaking news that indicates that around 300 local jobs are to be lost as a result of a reorganisation following a merger between Chain Reaction Cycles and Wiggle.

Roy Beggs MLA said “It is concerning that around 300 people could potentially lose their jobs in Northern Ireland as a result of this announcement, with a number of these jobs located at the Carrickfergus distribution centre. It highlights the dangers that occur for local jobs when local companies are merged with other companies. It appears that these jobs are being transferred to Wolverhampton following the merger.”
