Roy Beggs MLA said “A new build site for Abbey Community College is long overdue following the amalgamation of Newtownabbey Community High and Monkstown Community School in 2015. I supported the amalgamation 6 years ago, with the proviso that any new school would receive significant development to cater for so many students on the one site. A new build school will benefit the pupils learning experience and assist teachers in enabling more young people to reach their full potential.
