70 Cannabis Plants Seized in Carrickfergus

Roy Beggs MLA has welcomed the seizure of around 70 cannabis plants worth an estimated £40,000 from a property in the Carrick area by officers from Larne and Carrickfergus Local Policing Team.
Ulster Unionist Party representative Roy Beggs MLA has welcomed the news, stating “I commend the work of the local Policing Team in making sure that these cannabis plants are taken out of circulation in the local community. Cannabis, which is a Class C drug, contributes to mental ill health and can be a gateway to even more addictive and dangerous Class A drugs.  I would urge anyone with information in relation to this case or if you have suspicion of similar drug factories, to contact Crime Stoppers confidentially on 0800 555 111.”
