Early bus service for Belfast-bound commuters

Early morning commuters travelling from Larne to Belfast are set to benefit from a new bus service.

Translink intends to introduce a 6am Goldliner service, which will enable passengers to arrive in Glengall Street, Belfast at 7am.

The move comes after Translink made cuts to services on the Larne railway line earlier this year, which saw the first train depart at 6.50am rather than 5.48am.

East Antrim MLA Roy Beggs was made aware of the changes at a meeting with Translink representatives. He also learned that, from January, the last train leaving Belfast bound for Larne will be moved to the later time of 11pm.

Mr Beggs said: “I recognise that Translink have made adjustments to try to accommodate more passengers.”
